Anonymous voting
One opaque browser identifier.
When you vote, ResetTracker sets an HttpOnly cookie named rt_voter for up to one year. The server converts that random identifier into a one-way HMAC before storing it with your poll choice. The database does not store the cookie value.
To reduce repeat voting after a cookie is cleared, the server also converts the request IP address into a separate one-way HMAC. It keeps that network hash with the poll and most recent browser hash, and allows a different browser identity on the same network after 24 hours. The raw IP address is not stored in the voting tables. Ordinary infrastructure access logs may temporarily contain request metadata for reliability and abuse response.
Owner console
A short-lived private session.
The owner console sets an HttpOnly cookie named rt_admin after the private passphrase is accepted. It lasts up to seven days, uses SameSite protection, and is marked Secure on HTTPS. The passphrase is configured on the server and is not stored in the browser.
Reset data
System-wide only.
ResetTracker does not collect account inventory, eligibility, expiry dates, usage, redemption activity, or private platform account data.
Public information
Votes and sources are meant to be read.
Aggregate vote counts, reviewed reset events, source links, and owner-highlighted public posts are public. ResetTracker does not ask voters for a name, email address, social profile, or account registration.
Your controls
Browse without voting.
You may browse every public tracker page without voting. Browser settings can remove the voter cookie and, for an authenticated owner, the owner-session cookie.
